SOCAL Top 20 Varsity Football Teams



Corona Centennial, Vista Murrieta, Upland and Temecula Chaparral are the Inland-area teams who make an appearance in the first SoCal Varsity Top 20 high school football rankings.

These rankings were determined by votes from six writers among the SoCal Varsity staff: Eric-Paul Johnson and Kyle Glaser from The Press-Enterprise, Dan Albano and Steve Fryer from the Orange County Register, and Jeremy Balan and Devin Ugland from the L.A. Register.

Bellfower St. John Bosco was the unaminous selection for the top spot in the intial rankings.

Centennial is ranked seventh, Vista Murrieta is 12th, Upland is 13th and Chaparral is 17th.

Below are the results of the writers poll. Twenty points were given for a first-place vote, while one point was given for a 20th place vote. First-place votes are noted in parenthesis.
